Christine and Jon with the Royal Garden Trio

Many will know Christine Schinker from her work in the Annie Capps Trio.  She collaborates with pianist Jon, in this duo that celebrates the classic songs of the Jazz and Standards era.  Many of the songs will be familiar but Christine's beautiful vocals will enchant you in new ways.

Jon also plays in a few other other musical collaborations including Detroit area roots band, The Brakeman.

Somewhere along the way, guitarist Brian Delaney discovered the music of Django Reinhart and the
 Hot Club of France. This led to an interest in early jazz and the formation in the late '90's of the gypsy-style jazz trio, Summers, Delaney & Sharp. After SDS, Brian asked Mike Karoub (cello) and Tom Bogardus (tenor guitar abd clarinet) to join him in the Royal Garden Trio.

The Royal Garden Trio has been exploring early Jazz, especially music influenced by Django Reinhart.  They've become prominent fixtures in the Ann Arbor Jazz scene.
