The Mountain Top Trio w/ Bill Bynum

The Mountain Top Trio is a new bluegrass project for multi instrumentalist singer/songwriter David Mosher.  He’s joined by Ben Luttermoser on upright bass and  Steven Clyde on mandolin, fiddle, guitar and banjo.  Their sound has been described as bluegrass with hints of jazz.

David Mosher one of southeast Michigan's most in-demand side men who carries a half-dozen instruments and follows his sense of aural aesthetics where they lead, be it writing songs, producing recordings or finding a bird in the woods by its call. As David Mosher sets down his guitar after one song and reaches for his fiddle to play the next, the fluidity of motion represents years of practice mastering change.
Many have seen David perform as a solo artist and with the Raisin Pickers.  He’s also performed with Matt Watroba, Jill Jack, Grievous Angel, Kitty Donohoe and many others.  David was named "Country Instrumentalist of the Year" at the Detroit Music Awards in 2004.  This group is relatively new so don’t miss this chance to see them live.

Everyone know's what a talented musician David Mosher is.  Add to that the traditional songwriting of Bill Bynum and you have a powerful collaboration in the "Newgrass/Bluegrass" tradition of Bill Monroe, Hot Rize, and Alison Krauss and Union Station.  Bill recently won a local songwriting award and has worked with Pete Goble, who has written songs for Hot Rize, Blue Highway, and Alison Krauss.  Pete says that Bill could get a recording contract with his voice alone.
