Flanders
Theater Company and Trinity House Theatre present

When Frank (James
Mio) and Joyce (Amber
Neuenschwander) secretly meet at a posh Park Avenue hotel for a
midday quickie, little do they know they will be robbed and left will
be left without clothing! “Nooner,” by local playwright Kim
Carney is a hilarious show that takes a light-hearted look at
marital infidelity. The show will be presented from April 29th
through May 23rd at the intimate, 87-seat Trinity House
Theatre in Livonia

The cast of seven includes artistic director Mark
Flanders, portraying the part of the hotel manager. Flanders
stepped into the role three weeks ago when Harry
Carlson was called away for a role in the Meadow Brook musical
“The Fantastics.” After suffering from a traumatic closed head
injury in 1989, doctors doubted whether Flanders would be able
to recover, but defying the odds, he has become a successful
theatrical producer and actor.
“Nooner” is directed by Dr.
Arthur J. Beer, associate director of the University of Detroit
Mercy Theatre Company. Beer has directed over a 165 shows and has won
several directing and acting awards.
“Nooner” marks FTC’s third full-length show. Their last
production, “Could This Be Love,” a collection of humorous short
plays co-written by Kim Carney and
Kitty Dubin, debuted at the Trinity
House last year. Flanders Theater Company, which recently became a
501C3 non-profit organization, prides itself in bringing audiences
unique and original productions.
The
show opens on Friday, April 30th and will have performances
on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through May 23rd.
Performances are at 8:00pm on Friday and Saturday and at 2:00pm on
Sunday. A preview will be held on Thursday, April 29th at
7:00pm. Tickets cost $15 for adults, $13 if you are a senior or
student and attend a matinee. The production takes place at the
Trinity House, which is located at 3880 W. Six Mile Rd. in Livonia, at
the Northeast corner of I-275 and 6 mile. For tickets, call (313)
