Jason
Harrod, Jennifer Daniels, Scott & Jen Smith
Jason Harrod got his start in the Boston-based duo Harrod and Funck.
They crafted three critically acclaimed CD. He won first place in the
Bluegrass Category, of the Chris Austin Songwriting Competition, at
the annual Merle Fest in North Carolina. His self-released CD, Living
in Skin, features a rich tenor underscored by inventive guitar work.
The songs are marked by timeless Southern strains, alluring melodies,
and incisive lyrics.
Jennifer
Daniels is a singer-songwriter from Lookout Mountain, Tennessee.
Performing Songwriter describes her music as timeless, that which
"seems to have grown slowly from some rich, dark soil." She performs
frequently at Eddie's Attic in Atlanta, one of the Nation's premier
acoustic venues. Recently, she's been co-billed with Stacey Earle,
Slaid Cleaves, Jennifer Kimball, and Blue Mountain, and has opened for
David Wilcox, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Ellis Paul, and guitar legend Leo
Kottke.
Scott and Jen Smith
perform as part of the group Naked Blue. Their slightly alternative,
Americana rock sound has been compared to Shawn Colvin , Sheryl Crow,
and early Lindsay Buckingham/Stevie Nicks collaborations. They've
appeared on CNBC's After Hours. Jen was the Washington Area Musicians
Association Best Female Vocalist in the Rock/Pop, Roots Rock and
Contemporary Folk categories and the group was Music Monthly Magazines
choice for Best Folk Group
