The Randall Bramblett Duo

Randall Bramblett came to prominence through his work with pioneering band Sea Level, and his sessions with a diverse group of artists including Greg Allman, Traffic, Widespread Panic, and Government Mule.

His latest CD, No More Mr. Lucky, was produced by John Keane (R.E.M., Bottle Rockets, Indigo Girls, and Cowboy Junkies), and features some of his best music. A common thread weaves through the CD -- a sense of being on the move, of running toward something. These are songs for people who have not yet reached a place where they can rest.

Randall will be performing with Jason Slatton on guitar. Jason is one of Randall's primary co-writers and has been for several years. He also plays rhythm and acoustic guitars in the full band. He wrote many of the lyrics for songs like "Peace in Here", "Get in Get Out", "Disappearing Ink", "Nothing Words", and "End of the String". He has had his own group in Athens, Georgia called "The Lures," releasing two independent CDs which received good college radio play . Randall and Jason are currently writing new music which will be played at the show.

      -Bill Berry, R.E.M.

"Randall Bramblett is in my opinion the most gifted and talented Southern singer / songwriter / musician of the past several decades. He continues to address interesting and important themes of humanity with insight, passion, humor, and expertise."
      -Chuck Leavell

"A rare seeker in a culture of quick-cures, he is out for answers to questions most artists are too timid to pose."
      -Lloyd Sachs, Chicago Sun Times
